Who?

Whoever did that simply did not know Hammes.

Actually, I remember Tom Bishop requesting Shatner to play him in the
original thread!

I can almost see Sean Connery as Dennis M. Hammes... right age, also.

Not much Canadian television makes it this far South, although SCTV
and the various actors that came from it has always been very high on
my list of favorites.

Back in the 1980s SCTV was in heavy rotation on the only "free"
channel available here in Shadowville for those of us who refused to
give in and buy cable... every night from around 1983-85 there was
SCTV, "One Day At A Time" reruns, PTL Club with Jim & Tammy Faye Baker
and old Gene Autry movies, and that was it for television after Tom
Snyder's show.

Again, unfamilar with him... George Clooney was mentioned last night
by a friend of mine (may need to Tinyurl these, let me know):

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friend...

and

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friend...

and others in the "Chattahoochie Sunset" collection:

"...sooooo.....Another very good picture! You know after I saw the
first one I would be here looking around. Time is doing well by you.
Will, I truly hope You are happy."

"...I believe that "clooney" thing is slowly catching up to ya!"

That was completely different in that you wanted to make a movie about Dennis
Hammes, and hardly inclusive.

I missed that, and still find it hard to believe.

Wrong, some other lady started the thread several years ago... I
forgot her name but she's pretty well known, I do recall.

A Hammes movie would follow his life, true, and would include his
college years, John Berryman, his years in the Army when he saved
Germany from /something/, his guitar playing times, the many loves and
loses, which brings on the poetry, his times as dance instructor, worm
farmer, et cetera, and so on... a true epic about a flawed but great
man.

Hold it,,, ping Jeanne... Jack Nicholson would make a great Dennis M.

Interestingly, by happenstance, we now have proof that the flat
statement made by Karla (or whoever she is that made the statement)
that the Sharon McElroy MySpace page was never down, or as she put it
"It never happened", scroll down:

I just clicked this link, to my /own/ MySpace page, and got this:

"Invalid Friend ID.
This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has
been deleted."

When /this/ is what shows up with the proper link:

http://tinyurl.com/Will-Dockery1

and

http://tinyurl.com/cnx2oq

Amy Winehouse? Interesting.

Why's that? You want him as your stunt double?

I was thinking that maybe instead of Tom Greene or Andy Dick, we could just
draw a drunk smiley face on a horse's ass and let that be your actor.

He'd have been the perfect choice to play you, of course, Dink.

That's Meat Plow, Eva, and that's all he does here... and all he's
done for the many years I've seen him post here.

I refuse to look at that image only because it has been proven in the past
that your drawings, much like your ability to write poems, deliver pizza,
have ambition, have good hygiene and an ability to make friends, is complete
and total crap. Don't start signing autographs just yet, you phlegm-covered
dreck. The only movie you'll ever be in is Failure, Failure II: The Wrath of
Pasko, Failure III: The Search for Dockery's Brain and Failure IV: Who Gives
A Fuck.
