You could probably take any sentence and find multiple , possible
meanings but the intended meaning of the above Haiku is fairly unambiguous.
Good humor is often based upon construction deliberately designed to be
ambiguous.

Ambiguous. 'Pick not one' can mean 'Pick not only one', or 'Pick more
than one'.
I suppose if the last line read 'And not pick one' it would ruin the haiku.

I don't miss film at all. It's all I use. I think you may have
misunderstood me - this image is a Velvia 100 slide originally scanned
at 4800 or 9600 (the jpg is 16 meg) and sized down for flickr.

I almost miss film, too. But life goes on and we can go to 2,400 pixels, or
higher and scan for other images within the image. In the film days we
called it mining.

So far I've used only a local store (very good results) or a lab that sends
my file directly to their printer (I prepare the file for their printer
resolution and colour profile, superb results).
It seems nothing much has changed over the years. Some of the equipment is
better, but it's the procedure-in-the-middle that stills spoils the final

are free programs that sharpen, I do not believe they deblur, and
allow full basic enhancements like Picassa. Printers come with them
also.

item, File -> Save for web.
This will let you resize images and reduce the size all in one go. You can

probably you were to close with your camera lens.
If you take pictures of animals then set shorter exposure time.

I did. First image "yellow-tree-4102.jpg" has blown red and blue, and green
clipping in several places. Obviously the histogram underneath does not
match the image, so I didn't bother reading further.

Okay, that explains the number of segments. However,
Canon histograms are not limited to only a five stop
range, and they are not linear in terms of stops per
segment.
Of course there is a correlation, but it is not a linear
relationship where 1 segment at the right is 1 stop and
1 segment on the left is 1 stop.

You've got major focus problems with Pionites leucogaster xanthomeria.
Thw parrot is quite unsharp, and the concrete wall background is sharp.
I guess you are relying on autofocus and it let you down. Politely, you
should vet your images before you show them, and mercilessly remove
those with obvious faults, however well you might like them personally.

If anyone just want a software for thoese specifics then I would say
forget about it, but learning to control the camera instead of wasting
energy trying to undo the damage.
Here is the whole game
- Get a GOOD LENS which is one of the most important parts of photographing.
- Learn to control the camera and knowing the limitation of camera and lens
