  Here are a wee bird and a couple of crosses I shot two week ends ago &lt;br&gt; in the Burren, in Co. Clare, Ireland. They&#39;re probably full of &lt;br&gt; technical faults (and I&#39;m putting on my chainmail in expectation of &lt;br&gt; the deluge of criticism), but they look pleasing to me. &lt;br&gt; IMHO The first rule of an image is that it is pleaseing to the maker.

  Does not compute. That film would easily print to 12x8&amp;quot; so scanning at &lt;br&gt; 4000 dpi should produce fine results. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;ve scanned film from the 50&#39;s and 60&#39;s recently at 4000 dpi with &lt;br&gt; wonderful results - even wish I still had my Minolta 5400 to go a little &lt;br&gt; further.
