Subject: Question for a real camera expert
My dad has a Konica camera (I don't know the model number) her
purchased in Korea, 1952, for $120.  It has the original manual and
case.  He says there's a problem with it, but it still works.  (I don't
know enough about cameras to follow his explanation of the problem.)

My question:  would it be, in anyone's opinion, worth trying to sell
such a thing on eBay?  Or is it destined for the landfill?

Thanx in advance for any input.

DO NOT TOSS THIS CAMERA.
I will be glad to take it off your hands.
Research the model number on the internet and then values for the camera in
less than pristine condition.
Someone will want this on Ebay who understands what it is worth.

I sold a Konica T3 (1970s model) camera body on eBay.  I think I got
about $20.

Offer on eBay with a starting price of $9.95.  You'll be lucky to get
$20, but at least the camera will end up with someone who wants it.

Even at that price you should know what the problem is and state it in
the ad.  Check the battery compartment and state whether or not that
is clear of corrosion.  If the battery compartment is corroded, you
probably won't get offers.

As I recall, not many cameras made in 1952 had batteries.

Getting anything for it has to be better than junking it, but see if you
can find what that model seems to be worth so you don't let it go too
cheaply.  Also get him to explain the problem again - write down what he
says and if it still doesn't make sense then ask here.

Hello,
first off let say that the camera is film because digital didn't come
until the late 80's so as long as the camera is in good shape i would
defintly keep it or take in to a camera shop where they may buy the
camera from you. Also here's a creative idea use the as a decoration
around your home that's what i do with my old film camera's I love the
way that it brings the beauty of workmanship to your home.once again i
would hang on to this camera.
