Uploaded to my Flickr account with the hope that others in the class could comment on the pix and identify various people in them.
Turns out that people cannot comment unless they jump through the hoops of creating a Google account and then a Flickr account.
My suspicion is that creating those accounts is going tb unacceptable or just plain beyond 98% of the people who look at the pix.
Bottom Line: Does anybody know of a service that will allow me to post those pics and have people comment on them without having to log in to anything? Ideally, I sb able to send somebody a link that brings up a screen that shows several categories of pic (Like "At The Reunion", "Grade School Days", "Graduation"... and so-forth) and let the user drill down into each category.

Use a blog site (one set of pics or one pic = one article)?

I've never bothered with my free Canon space but other photo companies run a similar thing. I've had a quick look for online galleries and turned up a couple but there's probably others. Also, check out the legalese to confirm your intellectual property rights, and general usability before committing.

If you are willing to pay $39.95 for a year's membership, I suggest you look at SmugMug. A 14 day trial is free.
My opinion only, but I think your photos will be better displayed by SmugMug than by Flickr.
Viewers can download your photos (if you allow it) or they can order prints of the photos. You don't get compensated if they buy prints unless you have a more expensive professional membership. Comments can be added by the viewer to the images.
Regarding the second part of your question, you'd load the "categories" as separate galleries.
You can make galleries public, private, or password protected.

Fair enough. Obviously a person of good preferences! ;)

Sure, but that's a bit subjective, no? I mean: the same can be said of just about any photo site out there, Smugmug included. Photobucket for example can do a lot of custom displays. Although I must admit I hate the way they resize images on the fly.
Anyways, no biggie: just wanting to know the reasons for your choice.

I did say it was my opinion, didn't I? Opinions are formed subjectively with or without objective basis. -- Tony Cooper - Orlando, Florida
