There's a radio talk-show called "Coast to Coast AM" that runs late at night here in the US. I tend to refer to it affectionately as "crackpot radio" because they specialize in UFOs, ghosts, crop circles and similar esoterica. I rarely have a chance to listen to the show itself (because I'm normally asleep when it's broadcasting) but I *do* like checking out their website http://www.coasttocoastam.com/ every morning.
So, this morning they had a link to an article on the LiveScience website about a place in Ethiopia where the tectonic plates are pulling apart, which will eventually create a new ocean. At the bottom of that article was another link to the "Top Ten Ways to Destroy Earth." Number eight on their list was "being sucked into a microscopic black hole" and the source for the idea is listed as: "'The Dark Side Of The Sun,' by Terry Pratchett." http://www.livescience.com/technology/destroy_earth_mp-1.html

They used to run on AM 640 here in Toronto after 10:00 PM. (Maybe they still do, I never listen to it at that time.) I know the first five minutes or so was nothing but theme music.
I'm not a big fan of crackpot theory shows, because I don't believe in them and I feel somewhat icky laughing at them.
Is Terry really the first person who came up with the idea of the Earth getting sucked into a black hole? O_o

I doubt it, the article I linked to above says "It is true that the microscopic black hole idea is an age-old science fiction mainstay which predates Pratchett by a long time, he was my original source for the idea, so that's what I'm putting."

Not even close. Larry Niven used it years previously.

Greg Bear used the idea in "The Forge of God", 2 micro black holes dropped through the Earth's crust and circling inside the planet until they collided. Turned out to be something much nastier but the concept was used.

Nope, 'Forge of God' was two 'darts'- one neutronium, the other anti- neutronium, not black holes.

I thought the game of 'Arrers' was played with 3 darts and the idea was to get them into the black hole in the middle? No wonder I'm no good at it, mine always land outside the event horizon, sometimes even outside the Van Allen belt I suggest you read the last line of my post again - I said "the concept was used", as it certainly was by one of the characters earlier in the book and , thereby, the author.
I don't mind being wrong or argued with but I did not say they were black holes.
Anyway, stop spoiling things for people who haven't read it yet and probably now won't bother
