4 Mandala's > 1 Computer = Latency?
|

Hi all
I've had one USB Mandala on my kit running through Battery 3 for ages,
with no problems at all.
I have recently added three more and hooked them up in exactly the
same way. Everything works fine as in, my computer recognises all the
zones on all the pads. On top of that 90% of the time when I hit the... more »

losing the mandala too
|
| |
The other day I stated that this was not a problem, now it is. Got
things running now, but one of my drums will shut off, seems like
during playing a lot of notes in sequence. I have to go back into
battery and turn the mandala off/on. And, no I'm not running through
a hub, it's directly to the pc. Any thoughts? I'm reluctantly thinking... more »

will using an old powerbook G4 work alright?
|
| |
I have a several year old Powerbook G4 laptop with a 1 ghz processor,
2 gb of ram, usb 1.0 or 1.1, running mac osx 10.4.11. Is this setup
fast enough to handle a mandala with no audio breakout box? I want to
use battery 3, reason, or ableton live for samples. Any input would
be greatly appreciated, I really want to get a mandala asap for my... more »

is my computer fast enough for the mandala?
|
| |
I'm using a powerbook G4 laptop from several years ago and was
wondering if it would be fast enough to use with the mandala and
either battery, reason, or ableton live. It has a 1 ghz processor, 2
gb of ram, and is running mac os X version 10.4.11. I believe it also
has a slightly older type of usb, as whenever I connect my i-pod to it... more »

more c.b. and battery questions
|
| |
Okay, I've chased this up a tree, I think. I set up control burst like
Killing joke specified. However, the burst app does not seem to save
settings for the second mandala, which should be on channel two,
right? So, if Im using control burst, I don't need to mess with the
virtual brain at all? Now an issue with battery. I'm having problems... more »

Manadala 2.0 For Sale

Hi Everyone!
I have a perfectly working Mandala 2.0 that I would like sell. I've
owned it for a year and quite honestly have not played it that much(I
estimate about 3-4 hours). It comes with all software cds and a USB
cable. As much as I like it, I must sell it immediately, no
particular reason, just need money and I don't have the time to... more »

control burst and such
|
| |
Reading the forums, I think I have the basics, I'm assigning my
mandalas is battery, and clumisily being able to assign one zone per
cell through the vb. I'm confused about control burst, I thought one
pad goes on one channel, and another pad on another channel. I'm not
losing the mandalas in battery like the previous post, but the signal... more »

Does anyone have real tama octoban samples? Is there any in battery?
One more question about battery, what is the limit to the samples you
can load into it? A sequence of notes?
Thanks

Battery "loses" the mandala MIDI device
|
| |
Hi everybody,
here's a problem I've experienced a lot recently using the mandalas
with Battery 3 , and I've got no clue what the reason and/or solution
might be:
Basically my setup with the pads and Battery 3 on a Vista machine
works fine, but Battery sometimes "loses" the MIDI device during a... more »

Hey Guys,
i am one sad idiot^^. I have purchased the mandala usb drum and it did
not work on my windows pc (even with asio4all the delay was too bad).
Since i live in Germany, i had to pay about 450 euros to get the thing
into my studio (shipping, tax, and so on...). I wanted to try the
thing out so badly that i bought a macbook pro (!), because i had... more »
