Questions on uses...
  Hello. Mandala 1.0 didn't need a computer, but the 2.0 does. Neither allow you to "save sounds to the pad", although the 1.0 had it's own internal sounds. You could use the 2.0 in conjunction with MIDI hardware devices but you'd still need a computer to take the USB in and send MIDI out.... more »

A beginner's question : Mandala v1 -> midi -> Virtual Brain = ok ?
  Hi, I'm new to this Google group but I've actually followed the Mandala-related news for quite a while now (I remember when SynesthesiaCorp's website was just a splash page announcing the then upcoming release of V1 !) Anyway, I own a Mandala V1, and i recently acquired a Macbook 2ghz. I thought I'd give a try at MIDI, so I'll buy a simple MIDI/USB... more »

Group Postings.... Set to Members Only
  Have just changed it to "members only". Getting a lot of spam trapped in the moderators bin, which is a pain. And missed one legitimate post a day ago. Lots of good discussion of late! ~k

Another Battery 3 question
  Ok guys, I have my 4 mandalas integrated with my roland TD-20 kit. They work great with the virtual brain. Here's my quandry. I run the Burst App and set up each pad through it. Disconnect the pads (using a PC with Windows XP), reconnect the pads, and then start up Battery 3. The pads all work in Battery 3. The problem is that one of the pads... more »

Kinda unrelated...
  Not about the Mandala per say but I have an M2 in the mail... I was wondering if i could use that at the same time as a foot pedal in a program like battery or logic... if so, what's the cheapest way to get a foot pedal (just for triggering sounds, but if it can switch presets then all the better) running that will do this? I'm kinda new to this... more »
