  The &#39;no buffer~&#39; message is fine. That&#39;s standard. It&#39;s the other &lt;br&gt; messages that show what is happening in your case. Your Virtual Brain &lt;br&gt; has issues because of some old version of Max that was installed on &lt;br&gt; your machine. The VB is calling up the wrong version of MaxAPI.dll. &lt;br&gt; Here&#39;s how to undo the conflict:

  glad that solved it. &lt;br&gt; about the other issues, max/msp 5 won&#39;t interfere with the virtual &lt;br&gt; brain and neither will max/msp 4.6.3. if you have any older versions &lt;br&gt; than that then uninstall them. &lt;br&gt; some other things that will help what you are describing about the &lt;br&gt; preset loading: &lt;br&gt; - make sure you have not moved anything from the original virtual

  It wouldn&#39;t be the M-Audio, but the Logitech webcam sounds like the &lt;br&gt; culprit. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Things like that Logitech device&#39;s drivers are mentioned in those &lt;br&gt; links above as messing up the registry and causing Windows MIDI &lt;br&gt; problems.

  I&#39;m on an imac, core 2 duo, pretty fast. I can get by in live with say three audio tracks running with the mandala in record mode, but any more tracks than that, it becomes unplayable even using the inter mac out soundcard. Also, my interface is a profire lightbridge firewire, it should be fast enough. I don&#39;t know, it just seems like all the gear has to be super high end, or things don&#39;t work right. I can just use the mandala brain for playback without much issue, but recording into a program with the same computer is rough

  Ya same thing here, the mandala&#39;s have issues, at least the basic electronic kits don&#39;t have all this baggage, let&#39;s face it, they made those for tool and his has custon out jacks we don&#39;t, there product is not really catching on in a live setting, I see no one playin them, there a recording tool at best
