  Hello. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Mandala 1.0 didn&#39;t need a computer, but the 2.0 does. Neither allow &lt;br&gt; you to &amp;quot;save sounds to the pad&amp;quot;, although the 1.0 had it&#39;s own &lt;br&gt; internal sounds. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;You could use the 2.0 in conjunction with MIDI hardware devices but &lt;br&gt; you&#39;d still need a computer to take the USB in and send MIDI out.

  yep that&#39;s what is going on. you need to click a couple times on the &lt;br&gt; first purple pad of 5 in the master window to direct all the changes &lt;br&gt; you make to the proper pad. then load a preset or make your zone &lt;br&gt; changes.

  Hey there. I think I had something similar to this, ages ago on my &lt;br&gt; Mac. The fix was something simple like making sure to click on the &lt;br&gt; first purple pad when you start VB. Which tells VB to focus on it &lt;br&gt; correctly. This has since become pretty much standard practice for all &lt;br&gt; owners... ( i heard a rumor it&#39;s going to be fixed in a new VB release.)

  Hello, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;ve had my mandala 2.0 since release day and have just now tried &lt;br&gt; using it on my PC (no problems with the mac laptop, but its older and &lt;br&gt; slower...) and am having issues with the strike position. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;basically the problem is wherever i strike the pad my strike position &lt;br&gt; readout is always 0. everything else works except for this.

  Of course, to do what I describe above you can have your Mandala set &lt;br&gt; to as many zones as you want, but just use any single one of them with &lt;br&gt; my instructions to get the desired looping results.

  I wrote how to loop a sample indefinitely in Battery 3 using a single &lt;br&gt; zone of a Mandala (until you hit the same zone again) above in my 2nd &lt;br&gt; paragraph. I&#39;m doing it right now and it works perfectly. Here is a &lt;br&gt; more detailed step by step instruction: &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;- Set your Mandala to only 1 zone. &lt;br&gt; - Set that zone to play a chromatic scale with Pattern=Up Rep, Range=2

  Don&#39;t forget there are 2 effects racks in the VB and each one has a &lt;br&gt; delay unit. Also, many other effects units in those racks have the &lt;br&gt; ability to create a delay type effect. Try any one of the following &lt;br&gt; to fix your issue: a) Turn off every VB effect in both racks, b) Move &lt;br&gt; FX1 and FX2 faders to 0 in the VB Master window, c) Turn &#39;send&#39; to 0

  it Worked....I can&#39;t believe I made such a rookie mistake ! Well, I &lt;br&gt; really didn&#39;t know a thing about MIDI for sure.... &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Works perfect on Battery 3, but the VB repeats my hit one time 4-5 &lt;br&gt; secs after I hit the pad. Delay OFF, did it happen to anybody ? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Anyway, thanks, it works and it&#39;s just what I needed !

  The Voice Groups section in the Battery 3 manual tells you how to do &lt;br&gt; what you are talking about. It says &#39; Also when using loops, you &lt;br&gt; could assign a “silent” sample (no sound) to a group so that &lt;br&gt; triggering this Cell turns off any loops that are playing, and &lt;br&gt; silences the output.&#39; So, your choice is to make your Mandala 2

  The v1 brain will never respond to the Mac OSX MIDI pref test because &lt;br&gt; the v1 brain only has MIDI out. It can only send information out, not &lt;br&gt; receive! If your v1 brain is making a MIDI note that you can see &lt;br&gt; trigger your interface when you hit the drum but the VB isn&#39;t &lt;br&gt; triggering then you have a basic MIDI issue you need to work out.   Test tone on VB works, output settings seem ok, and PAD1 is on. I&#39;ll &lt;br&gt; try again today, but I think I&#39;ll write to SynCorp to seek help. &lt;br&gt; It seems weird that the V1 brain isn&#39;t even properly tested by Mac &lt;br&gt; OSX&#39;s MIDI preferences, MIDI OUT answers but no sound. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Anyway, thanks !
