I thought it'd be good for us to get to know each other a bit, so that
it's not just "sgeorge" who we see replying to our post, but rather
Mack who is from Herräng and runs a very cool site on Lindy Hop, that
sort of thing.
So... with that, I humbly invite you to introduce yourself with a few
words, including...
- Your name (first name or nickname is fine if you prefer :)
- Your main site's URL, or -- if you have more than one site -- max
2-3 that you work on.
- A tantalizingly brief description of your main site ("Started in
'02, it includes useful step lists and also mini bios I've written on
great people in jazz and dance history")
- A quick tidbit about where you're from, what you do and what you're
about when you're not sitting in front of a computer.
*** Please PLEASE do not hijack this thread to note concerns about
your site or give Google suggestions or anything along those lines.
We will ruthlessly send such notes in this thread to the big bad bit
bucket where the terminals don't shine. ***
This is just a getting-to-know-you kind of thing. At minimum, this is
your chance to invite folks to see your pride and joy site and help
others get a sense of the human behind it :-).
Regards,
Adam
P.S. -- This is a yet-further continuation of the very enjoyable
original "Introduce Yourself!" thread. Since we now have a dedicated
section
and this newer thread, I've closed the old one to new replies, but
you're still welcome to read all the old posts there:

I'm Robert everyone calls me by my nick name Speedy. I drive truck all
over the U.S. for a living. I ride motorcycles and am active in the
motorcycle community. With the hours that us truck drivers are
required to shut down for everyday I started looking into how I could
use that time to make money online. I run a website on what I learned
and information on meta tags and keywords on what they are and how to
use them. I also have pages on how to do a robot txt page and site
maps for indexing. If anyone is having a problem with doing a site map
or a robot txt file, here is what I can do to help. For a robot txt
file create a robot.txt file copy and paste the correct format off my
site and fill in your disallow pages. For a site map create a
sitemap.xml file and copy and paste the proper format off my site and
fill your website pages. I hope this can be of help to some of you. My
website is http://www.freeinformationguidetomakingmoneyonline.com/ Speedy

I'm Richard and I have designed and created www.USGolfers.com. I work
full-time for a major corporation and spend my after-hours (after
kids, too) on USGolfers. It is purely Google map based and has an
interestingly unique search utility. With over 15,000 US golf courses
in the database there is much to map. Google does a terrific job with
a number of results between 50 to 100. At a thousand my browser just
chugs along. Governing the results has been a bit challenging.
I have only begun to build what I have planned for the site. It's
great live in a time with such opportunity to create and also
appreciate other's masterpieces. I'm not making any money on the site
yet with the site but it has been a joy none-the-less.

Well I am The Adsense Consultant!
I started off as a webdesigner that started to add adsense ads to my
site. Maybe because it was that I already had some experience with
html coding that it was relatively easy for me to add and work with
the adsense coding. But so many people were having so many problems
with their adsense that I decided to become a consultant.
It also helps that I'm able to at least earn the $100 minimum to get
an adsense payment so far this year.
Sometimes I think it is just a case of people either trying too hard
to optimize their adsense or they don't try enough.
My name is Reid and yes, I enjoying reading. :) I've another Googler
who will be posting to the Webmaster Help Group. I've been following
the group for quite some time, and look forward to answering your
concerns. My personal website is in the works, so I may ask for your
advice in the future.
A bit about me: like Bergy, I am a transplant from the Midwest -- St.
Louis, Missouri to be specific (so when I ask you to "Show Me" your
website, you'll know where I'm coming from!) I'm a die-hard
Cardinal's fan and when I'm not in front of the computer, I enjoy
photography, road biking, and video games.
I'll do my best to jump in to help answer your questions!

I'm Jessica and I'm excited to be joining as a Webmaster Help Group
Guide! I'm a Googler from the Search Quality Team and I'm looking
forward to helping out with any questions you may have.
So a little about me - I grew up in the Bay Area and have lived here
my whole life. When I'm not sitting in front of my computer, you'll
probably find me at the beach, dining out, shopping, watching foreign
films, or hanging out with friends. Oh, and I love anything outdoors.
I'm looking forward to adding to the discussion, and thanks for the
warm welcome! :)

I am Evan and I work with awesome people like Reid, Jessica, Bergy,
Wysz, Adam, Maile, Pat, and many others who have come here to help. I
am looking forward to posting as much as I can in this group.
About me: I really enjoy making references to pop culture, so do not
be surprised if you see me saying "Google does search the way Hilary
Duff thinks it's So Yesterday." Unlike Hilary, I will still help
troubleshoot your concerns today :).

Hi.
I'm Hakeem and am nicknamed as eworlder. It's because I've titled my
site as Hakeem's eWorld. My site's been up from 18th May 06 and
several times I re-constructed it. My main site is www.hakeem.googlepages.com and my eGroup site is www.eworlders.tk. My web-designing life started
all of a mistake but now it IS my leisure. I will in future create
blogs to include my own contents, but my sites and present blogs
contain very interestin stuff.
I live in the pearl of Indian ocean(Sri Lanka), and I do my higher
studies in school. You may rarely see me posting in groups but I do
visit the groups once in a way to get to know more stuff or enjoy
sharing what I know.

My name is Javaun, I work in DC for a major non-profit organization to
improve our site indexing in the engines and also work with our
content group to guide them in best practices for search-friendly
content.
I'm actually new to the area, having just moved from Atlanta where I
spent the last 9 years working in web development, web publishing, and
analytics. I'm also involved in the Web Analytics Association on a few
committees.
When I'm not working on our programs or trying to stay abreast of
latest trends, I *live* to mountain bike, ride on the road, and get
out to run around in the woods. I would also put down "coffee" as a
major hobby, and I'm still upset that Fox canceled "Arrested
Development" a few years ago.
I've "lurked" here for some time and grown quite fond of the people.
With that said I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Karras and I am the creator and webmaster for http://www.sakara.net,
known as Sakara and the Hidden Estate. Even after seven years online I
am hard pressed to describe it. I've settled on "resource center" for
now:)
As a self-taught developer I am constantly amazed at the wisdom so
freely shared in this forum. That to me is what cyberspace is all
about and as my knowledge grows I will one day be able to answer a
technical question for someone -- and that's gonna feel good!
In the meantime, though I've never asked this before, I am hoping a
few people will take a critical look at my site. Tell me what you
think I'm doing wrong and don't be gentle:). I ask that here because I
trust the judgement.
Finally, I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and an incredible
New Year!

I've got a special re-introduction to make: webmaster404, formerly
known as Admin Aaron. Aaron's been a long-time member of our forum and
has contributed a lot of time and energy to helping folks here; he was
gracious enough to change his handle at our request, since some folks
were misinterpreting the meaning of 'Admin Aaron'. Even though he's
not a Googler or forum admin, I'm still pleased to-reintroduce him to
the group as webmaster404! Feel free to say hello on his other thread:

You have started this interesting topic. i simply love it. i am a
student, internet frenzy and love to blog whenever i am free.
raulstha
http://lovelybabes.blogspot.com =>it is the one where i am publishing wallpapers of beautiful
celebrities. some images might be nude but i never believe they can
be categorized as porn. so it is safe to view.
http://increaseyoursitetraffic.blogspot.com =>i publish this blog to those who are new and are not finding site
traffic to their blogs. i share those ideas i found interesting and
worthy to all those bloggers in this blog.
http://groups.google.com/group/celebrity-wallpapers => i manage this group. just started. everybody is free to join this
group. i started this group for those people who love to see, collect
wallpapers of their favorite celebrities. i love people join this
group and post interesting sites (strictly not porn or porn
celebrities but hollywood specific), resources, facts and so on.
My website is about earning money online and "how to help". Also kinda
a online shopping guide along with showing off some of the artwork I
do with colored pencils.
Artwork is what I have been about most of my life, but my boy is what
gives me the push to do all I do. (Such a good kid) That is what the
website is for when it comes down to it, it buys his gifts and school
clothes throughout the year.
I work at a "major" fastfood restaurant in the grill (which I
personally hate but it is a job).
Pretty much anything online I have learned on my own by reading the
post from here and other areas or just try and try again.
If ya use my site I hope the info helps ya out, I try to keep it basic
and not "flashy". (Still learning, but getting there).
