removing URL link "chat" from this group

OMG! the "link" I wanted gone was removed but now the entire chat/
question/answer along with the specific link
which I included in the chat message is also referenced
in the NEW link comes under the "Stoneybrook Drive" seasrch.NOW

Sitelinks "penalty"

I want to change some of the sitelinks chosen by Google to more
accurately reflect the overall tone of my site.

I know I can block the default links in the webmaster tools, and have
done so to about 4 of the original 8. Since then I have seen a fall
off in a number of rankings - is their a "penalty" for this?

as the preferred domain in Google Webmaster Tools
in the Tools page - Set preferred domain ?

It depends on how you
get to that file at error 404
and what type of file it is
(.html or .php or .asp etc.)

Check if you already have on your server
files like 404.shtml

If possible contact your hosting provider about this.
The sitemap must not include URLs blocked in robots.txt file.

Remember that people and bots can see your sitemap,
it is important that the sitemap
includes only URLs that you want indexed in
search results.

I really appreciate your help, seems like you really know your

I submitted the site edpaintingonline.com on webmastertools and it
works I see reports. Now I am getting a little worried about the way I
am listed in directories, lately I've only been submitting as
[link] but in the beginning I wasn't

The sitemap generator is a service without any option of my provider.

After uploading my sitemap file i have seen that Google comes back an
reload my sitemap-file without any changes or other actions by myself.
Is there any rule known, why Google does this? Until now i have
thought Google only loads my sitemap-file if i tell Google that i have

Delete from the sitemap
the URLs blocked by robots.txt
because they mean extra workload to Googlebot.

List in the sitemap only URLs you want indexed.

Can you filter out those URLs from the sitemap
when you run the sitemap generator?
