Subject: Dynamic IP using a different incoming port
I run my own server in my basement. My ISP has decided to start
blocking incoming port 80. I also have a dynamic IP address though it
changes very infrequently.

Now the problem. I am trying to index my site using a sitemap. My
sitemap is perfect in that my articles are labeled http://www.thetwaros.com/nnn/
where nnn is the article number. www.thetwaros.com is registered with
domain forwarding to my current ip address:10080. Google webmaster
tools under sitemap says that there are too may redirects. I
understand the error but would like to know how to overcome this
problem.

Also, when google indexes my site it does it with IP address instead
of www.thetwaros.com which would allow my IP address to change and
still be able to find my site.

Thx in advance.

Hi ttwaro and welcome to the groups!

I would really recommend using hosting that remains fairly stable and
does not use redirects to your content. With your current setup, we
won't be able to process your Sitemap files and we will see new URLs
every time your host changes IP addresses.

Hope it helps!
John
