One word of caution though after installing you should deactivate the
'secret' link back to author in the extensions backend.

within Google News, my developers are re building the site from the

1) The new sites page URL's do not have a unique 4 digit number within

Once Google has seen a URL it will keep coming back for it ad
infinitum. Your best solution is to put up a 301 redirect from
listen.html to listen.php

I am trying to create my sitemap as usual using the tool here -
[link], but its only letting me add the index to
the sitmap.

hi all
my sitemap has been accepted, it says there are no errors etc, but its
not finding my /listen.php page ( site = [link] )
its in the site map, and should be listed, but its trying to find an
old listen.html page(which is NOT in the sitemap, and therefore I
thought would mean it would stop looking for it)

Remove (or filter out)
the URLs blocked by robots.txt from the sitemap.

Have in the sitemap only URLs that you want indexed
in search results.

You have urls in there which are not encoded properly. All the &
characters in query strings must be & .

Whatever you used to build the sitemap is faulty.
