Hi, I've inadvertently entered a URL for my Sitemap location (instead
of just the file name/path) and now I cant seem to delete it!
The Sitemap status is "ERRORS" (reporting a 404/Not found.)
To delete; I tick the check-box to the left of the offending Sitemap
then press delete - the page then happily refreshes without changing
anything! It's been a day since I first tried to remove it and it's
still there... I can add and delete other Sitemaps without issue -
just not this one!!
Any help with ridding myself of this Sitemap entry would be
appreciated. I suspect that this might be a webtools bug?

I am also having the same problem. I have javascript turned on and am
using firefox 3 beta 5 (which comes with Hardy Heron Ubuntu). Anyone

Hi, sorry for not responding sooner - I'd lost track of this thread
and only thought to look back at it now!
I can confirm that the issue is present using IE7, Firefox 2.0.0.14
and Opera 9.26 all with javascript and cookies enabled (so it's not
likely browser related.)
The solution Webado suggested above does get rid of the site maps and
is a viable work-around - Just delete the higher level site from your
dash board and re-add it. You don't appear to loose anything but the
Sitemaps. Thanks Webado.
I maintain that this is likely a Webmaster tools bug should be looked
at by a dev but like TCWeb can find no real means reporting it :/...
